Integrations
Integrations overview
How Cadence integrations work — marketing platforms, subscription platforms, connection rules, and setup requirements.
Cadence connects to your existing tools to import data, deliver prediction events, and power subscription features. This page explains the integration model and links to platform-specific setup guides.
Integration categories
Cadence supports two categories of integrations:
Marketing platforms (required)
At least one marketing platform must be connected before Cadence can go live. Cadence sends prediction events to these platforms; your flows send the actual messages.
| Platform | Channel | Connection method |
|---|---|---|
| Klaviyo | OAuth or API key | |
| Omnisend | Email + SMS | API key |
| Attentive | SMS | API token |
| Postscript | SMS | API token |
Multiple marketing platforms can be connected simultaneously. Events are delivered to all connected platforms.
Subscription platforms (optional)
Connect a subscription platform to enable subscription upsell predictions and (optionally) Subscription Management.
| Platform | Connection method |
|---|---|
| Recharge | OAuth |
| Skio | API key |
| Loop | API key + API URL |
| Shopify Subscriptions | Enable (no credentials) |
Only one subscription platform can be connected at a time. Disconnect the current platform before connecting a different one.
Shopify (automatic)
Shopify is the foundation — installed automatically when you add Cadence from the Shopify App Store. No separate connection step needed.
What every integration requires
Regardless of platform, connecting an integration in Cadence is only the first step. For marketing platforms, you must also:
- Connect the platform in Cadence (OAuth or API key)
- Create flows in the platform that trigger on the
cadence_predictionevent - Set flows to Live before your store goes live
See Sequences and flows for detailed flow setup guidance.
Connection status
View all connected integrations at Integrations in the Cadence app. Each integration shows:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Connected | Integration is active and working |
| Disconnected | Integration was disconnected |
| Needs attention | Connection error — check credentials or permissions |
For connected integrations, you’ll also see last sync time, events delivered today, and any error messages.
Credential security
API keys and tokens you enter in Cadence are encrypted at rest and never displayed again after saving. If you need to update credentials, disconnect and reconnect the integration.
Disconnecting an integration
To disconnect:
- Go to Integrations → [Platform]
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the disconnection
Disconnecting stops event delivery to that platform immediately. Flows in the platform will no longer receive new events. Previously synced profile properties remain in the platform but stop updating.
