Getting Started
Enablement and go-live
What happens during the Cadence enablement call, when your store goes live, and what to expect after launch.
After completing onboarding, there’s one final step before Cadence starts delivering predictions to your marketing platform: store enablement. This is handled by the Cadence team to ensure everything is configured correctly before your first events fire.
The enablement call
During onboarding, you’ll be prompted to book an enablement call with the Cadence team. This is a short session (typically 30 minutes) where the team:
- Reviews your onboarding progress (integrations connected, ConvertCart configured, flows set up)
- Confirms your marketing platform flows are listening for Cadence events
- Answers any questions about configuration
- Enables your store for live prediction delivery
You can book the call at any point during onboarding — you don’t need to wait for import to finish.
What “store enabled” means
When the Cadence team enables your store:
- Predictions begin flowing — Cadence starts sending events to your connected marketing platform(s) at your configured event delivery time
- Profile sync activates — Customer profile properties (prefixed with
cadence_) are synced to your marketing platform for segmentation - Full app access unlocks — All sections of the Cadence app become available, including Dashboard analytics, prediction analytics, and product analytics
- ConvertCart goes live — Cart links in your marketing messages become active
- Nudges activate — If configured and the theme embed is enabled, on-site nudges begin showing to logged-in customers
Before enablement, you’ll see the onboarding screen when you open the Cadence app. After enablement, you’ll land on the Dashboard.
What to prepare before the call
To make the most of your enablement call, have the following ready:
- At least one marketing platform connected in Cadence Integrations
- At least one flow or automation created in your marketing platform that triggers on the
cadence_predictionevent (see Sequences) - ConvertCart branding configured — logo, colors, and basic copy
- Product exclusions reviewed — gift cards and samples excluded if applicable
Optional but recommended:
- Nudges configured with theme embed enabled
- Subscription platform connected (if applicable)
- Discount codes configured in ConvertCart settings
After go-live
First 24–48 hours
- Cadence runs its first full daily cycle with live event delivery
- Your marketing platform receives events for customers with active predictions
- Your configured flows begin sending messages
- Dashboard analytics start populating
First week
- Monitor your Dashboard for prediction counts, event delivery, and early ConvertCart sessions
- Check your marketing platform to confirm flows are triggering correctly
- Review Prediction analytics for per-type performance
Ongoing
- Predictions recalculate daily — no manual action needed
- Events deliver at your configured event delivery time
- Revenue attribution appears in Dashboard and prediction analytics as customers purchase through ConvertCart
What Cadence manages for you
Some aspects of Cadence are configured by the Cadence team, not self-service:
| Item | Who configures | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Store enable/disable | Cadence team | After enablement call |
| Prediction tuning | Cadence team | Optimized per store over time |
| LiveBlock setup | Cadence team | Request via support; see LiveBlock |
| Subscription Management access | Cadence team | Feature flag enabled per store |
| Billing plan | Cadence team | Shopify app billing configured for your store |
You don’t need to understand or configure prediction parameters — the Cadence team handles optimization based on your store’s data.
Troubleshooting after go-live
No events appearing in my marketing platform:
- Confirm your store is enabled (Dashboard should be visible, not onboarding)
- Check that your marketing platform integration shows “Connected” status
- Verify you’ve created flows triggered on the
cadence_predictionevent - Events deliver once daily at your configured event delivery time — they won’t appear immediately after enablement
Flows not triggering:
- Confirm the flow trigger metric/event name is exactly
cadence_prediction - Check that the flow is set to “Live” (not draft) in your marketing platform
- See Events and flows for the full event structure
ConvertCart links not working:
- Ensure ConvertCart branding is saved in settings
- Links are generated per-prediction — they won’t work until predictions are active for that customer
Where to go next
- Dashboard — monitor your store’s performance
- Prediction analytics — dive into per-type metrics
- Events and flows — understand the event model
