Product analytics

Search and analyze prediction data by product — counts, performance, and per-product drill-down.

Product Analytics gives you visibility into how individual products perform within Cadence’s prediction engine. Use it to identify your best-performing products for lifecycle marketing and spot products that may need exclusion.

Accessing product analytics

Go to Product Analytics in the Cadence app sidebar (labeled “Products”). You’ll see a searchable list of all products in your Shopify catalog with prediction-related metrics.

Product list view

The main view shows all products with:

Column Description
Product name Product title from Shopify
Predictions Total predictions generated for this product
Status Whether the product is included or excluded from predictions

Use the search bar to find specific products by name.

Product detail view

Click any product to open its detail page. The detail view shows:

  • Prediction breakdown — count by prediction type (replenishment, lapse, cross-sell, subscription)
  • Conversion data — how often predictions for this product lead to ConvertCart purchases
  • Revenue — attributed revenue from this product’s predictions
  • Recent predictions — list of recent predictions involving this product

Use product detail to answer questions like:

  • “Which products drive the most replenishment revenue?”
  • “Is this sample product triggering unwanted predictions?”
  • “How effective are cross-sell recommendations for this product?”

Using product analytics for optimization

Identify top performers

Products with high prediction counts and strong conversion rates are your lifecycle marketing anchors. Ensure these products:

  • Are not excluded from predictions
  • Have strong ConvertCart copy configured
  • Are featured in replenishment and lapse prevention flows

Spot exclusion candidates

Products triggering predictions but never converting may be candidates for exclusion:

  • Sample or trial sizes customers don’t reorder
  • Gift cards or gift sets
  • Limited-edition or seasonal items
  • Bundle products where individual components would be more appropriate

Exclude these in Settings → Product exclusions.

Inform cross-sell strategy

Product detail pages show which products appear in cross-sell predictions and their conversion rates. Use this data to:

  • Pin high-converting products in Settings for prioritized cross-sell recommendations
  • Identify natural product pairings that resonate with customers
  • Remove poor-performing cross-sell candidates via exclusion

Relationship to other settings

Setting Location Effect on products
Product exclusions Settings Removes product from all predictions
Pinned products Settings Prioritizes product in cross-sell recommendations
ConvertCart recommendations ConvertCart → Settings Controls whether cross-sell suggestions appear on cart pages

Changes in Settings affect future predictions (next daily cycle). Existing active predictions are not affected until recalculation.
