Features
ConvertCart settings
Configure ConvertCart branding, content, discount codes, recommendations, and tracking.
ConvertCart settings control the appearance, content, and behavior of your ConvertCart pages. Access them at ConvertCart → Settings in the Cadence app.
Settings tabs
ConvertCart settings are organized into six tabs:
Colors
Control the visual appearance of your ConvertCart pages:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Page background | Background color of the cart page |
| Header background | Color of the top header bar |
| Text color | Primary text color |
| Card background | Background of product cards |
| Banner color | Promotional banner background |
| Checkout button | Color of the primary checkout CTA |
| Notify me button | Color of the back-in-stock notify button |
| Accent color | Highlights and secondary elements |
Use your brand colors for a consistent experience. Changes preview in real-time.
Layout and typography
Control structural and typographic elements:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Border radius | Corner rounding for cards and buttons |
| Header branding | Show logo, store name, or both |
| Logo URL | URL to your store logo image |
| Logo size | Small, medium, or large |
| Font family | System default or custom font |
| Font URL | URL to a custom web font (if using custom font) |
| Show product images | Display product images on cart cards |
Content and behavior
Customize the text customers see on ConvertCart pages. Each cart mode has its own heading, body text, and CTA label:
| Cart mode | When it appears |
|---|---|
| Replenishment | Customer is due to reorder |
| Cross-sell | Customer is shown a recommended product |
| Lapse prevention | Customer is at risk of churning |
| Subscription upsell | Customer is primed to subscribe |
| Reorder | General reorder experience |
| Manage | Subscription management (if enabled) |
Additional content settings:
- Empty cart message — shown when no products are in the cart
- Subscription option text — label for the subscribe-and-save toggle
- Subscription terms — terms displayed alongside subscription option
- Notify me labels — text for back-in-stock notification buttons
Use placeholders like {product_name} and {first_name} where supported for dynamic personalization.
Recommendations
Control cross-sell product suggestions shown on ConvertCart pages:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable recommendations | Show/hide product suggestions on cart pages |
| Max recommendations | Maximum number of suggested products (1–10) |
Recommendations appear on replenishment and lapse cart pages, suggesting complementary products the customer hasn’t tried.
Offers
Apply Shopify discount codes to ConvertCart purchases by prediction type:
| Prediction type | Discount setting |
|---|---|
| Replenishment | Optional discount code for reorder messages |
| Cross-sell | Optional discount code for cross-sell messages |
| Lapse prevention | Optional discount code for win-back messages |
Discount codes must already exist in your Shopify admin (Settings → Discounts). Enter the exact code name in ConvertCart settings. The discount is applied automatically when the customer checks out through ConvertCart.
Note: Nudges display the same discount codes configured here (shown in the Offers tab of Nudge settings as read-only).
Tracking
Configure analytics tracking for ConvertCart sessions:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| UTM source | UTM source parameter appended to checkout URLs |
| UTM medium | UTM medium parameter |
| UTM campaign | UTM campaign parameter |
| Custom tracking snippet | Additional tracking code injected on ConvertCart pages |
UTM parameters help you track ConvertCart traffic in Google Analytics or other analytics tools.
Best practices
- Match your brand — use the same colors, logo, and fonts as your storefront for a seamless experience
- Keep copy concise — customers are one tap from checkout; don’t over-explain
- Test discount codes — verify codes work in Shopify before adding them to ConvertCart settings
- Use lapse discounts sparingly — a small win-back discount on lapse prevention can boost conversion without training customers to wait for discounts on replenishment
