How Cadence billing works through Shopify — viewing your plan, subscribing, and approving plan changes.

Cadence billing is handled through Shopify’s app billing system. You view and manage your subscription from within the Cadence app.

Accessing billing

Go to Settings → Billing in the Cadence app sidebar.

How billing works

Cadence uses Shopify app billing — a recurring charge added to your Shopify invoice each billing cycle. There is no separate Cadence account or payment method.

Your plan and pricing are configured by the Cadence team during or after your enablement call. You’ll see your plan details on the Billing page once billing is activated.

Billing page

The Billing page shows:

Information Description
Plan name Your current Cadence plan
Monthly price Recurring charge in USD
Status Active, pending approval, or inactive
Subscription history Past billing events and plan changes

Subscribing

If billing hasn’t been activated yet:

  1. The Cadence team configures your plan and pricing
  2. You’ll see a pending subscription on the Billing page
  3. Click Approve to accept the charge through Shopify
  4. Shopify adds the recurring charge to your next invoice

Approval happens through Shopify’s standard app charge approval flow — you’ll be redirected to Shopify to confirm.

Plan changes

If the Cadence team updates your plan or pricing:

  1. You’ll see a pending plan change on the Billing page
  2. Review the new plan name and price
  3. Click Approve to accept the change
  4. The new pricing takes effect on your next billing cycle

You must approve plan changes through Shopify — they are not applied automatically.

Cancelling

To cancel your Cadence subscription, contact the Cadence team. Cancelling through Shopify’s app management will disable Cadence for your store:

  • Predictions stop generating
  • Events stop delivering to your marketing platform
  • ConvertCart links become inactive
  • Nudges stop appearing

Your historical data and configuration are preserved if you reinstall later.
